Charlotte L. Petty Scholarship for Education and Teacher Preparation

Charlotte L. Petty relocated to Brunswick, Georgia from Sioux City, Iowa in 1997. The daughter of a hard-working and loving farmer. After hight school, she enrolled as a student in Morningside College where she successfully completed her baccalaureate degree all the while working to pay her own way.

The mother of two adopted sons, Ms. Petty dedicated her life to outrech, volunteerism and helping those in need. Annually, she celebrated the moth of February, a month she had dubbed the “love month” to give a gift to those whom needed it most. Subsequently, she had established this fund to provide resources for students who need financial assistance in pursuing their educational dreams.
