Christie and Tim Kinsey Endowed Scholarship

The Christie and Time Kinsey Scholarship is established to generate scholarship awards for deserving students at the College of Coastal Georgia. This scholarship supports students who have graduated from the Culinary Arts program and are pursuing the Hospitality, Tourism, and Event Management degree at the College, or students enrolled in either the Culinary Arts or Hospitality, Tourism, Event Management degrees.

Christie and Tim Kinsey are dedicated philanthropists and community leaders with deep ties to both West Virginia and the Golden Isles. Tim, a former banker with more than four decades in the financial industry, also served as a delegate in the West Virginia House of Delegates and has long been active in economic development and civic engagement. Christie, a respected financial advisor for over 40 years, has received numerous professional accolades and has led and supported a wide range of community initiatives focused on healthcare, the arts, and education. Together, the Kinseys have served on numerous boards and founded meaningful philanthropic efforts that have had a lasting impact on the communities they’ve called home. Longtime visitors to Jekyll Island, they now reside there permanently and are actively involved in local organizations and cultural life.
