Jefferson School

The fund shall be restricted to providing annually an intership experience to a student enrolled preferably in the American Studies program at the College of Coastal Georgia. The intern will examine research already conducted to develop complete bibliography of research done on both Charlottesville and Hydraulic Mills/Ivy Creek communities. The intern will engage with primary documents at Monticello and the University of Virginia, particularly the Charlottesville Chronicle, state tax lists, business ledgers and census bureau reports. While working at the Heritage Center, interns will have access to Proquest databases Ancestry and Heritage Quest.
