Laura Mead Herndon Nursing Scholarship

The Laura Mead Herndon Nursing Scholarship was established in honor of Laura Herndon by her family. Her devotion to her profession and passion for helping others often motivated her to encouraged others to enter the field of nursing.? Laura graduated as part of the Class of 1979 from the College with a nursing degree. At that time, it was still known as Brunswick Junior College. She worked as a nurse in women’s healthcare in Glynn County for over 25 years. Because of her dedication to advocating for nurses the scholarship has been designated to support current students facing financial need and enrolled in the Nursing BSN program.
