Mary Dinos Women's Endowed Golf Scholarship

Mary and Jack Dinos have been supporters of the College of Coastal Georgia for a decade and exhibit a love for the game of golf. As a valued friend and partner of the College, Jack Dinos began his service as a Trustee of the College of Coastal Georgia Foundation on July 1, 2009. He brings unparalleled insight and strategic advice on the College’s expansion. Jack Dinos is the retired CEO of Southern Tea Company, a fourth-generation family-owned business in Atlanta. He attended the University of Georgia’s Atlanta Division, receiving a BBA Degree in Marketing, was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity, and a founding member of Pi Sigma Epsilon Professional Sales Fraternity. Upon graduation, he was commissioned and served in the U.S. Navy. After completing military service, Mr. Dinos joined his family’s coffee and tea business in Atlanta, becoming its CEO in 1958, a position he held until the company’s sale in 1990. While his service to his business may be measured in profits, Jack’s and his wife’s steadfast support for education is immeasurable. Acknowledging numerous contributions of time and money to the University System of Georgia institutions, Jack Dinos was deemed worthy of Honorable Recognition by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, which conferred upon him the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa. He and his wife established the Mary and Jack Dinos Golf Scholarships to provide the means for the College of Coastal Georgia to attract the best and brightest athletes from across the Southeast region. The Mary Dinos Women’s Golf Scholarship and the Jack Dinos Men’s Golf Scholarship will serve as catalysts to the dynamic growth of the College of Coastal Georgia’s athletic programs.
