Arthur and Lindee Lucas Fellowship
The Arthur and Lindee Lucas Fellowship is open to full-time undergraduate students entering their junior year who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program in the School of Business and Public Management at the College of Coastal Georgia. While a concentration in the BBA program is not specified, the successful applicant will exhibit examples of entrepreneurship. In addition, recipients of the award may be given the opportunity to pursue an internship with Lucas Properties, St. Simons Island, GA. The recipient of the award will be known as the Lucas Fellow. Broadly speaking, the Arthur and Lindee Lucas Fellowship award will pay up to $12,000 per academic year starting in the junior year. The amount of the award will pay for all of the recipient’s college expenses. The exact amount of the award will vary each year, and will be determined after the recipient has applied for all appropriate need based grants beginning in their junior year. The award will continue into the senior year as long as the recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA (unless exempted by the Dean), and is making satisfactory academic progress toward their degree. By this commitment to the success of the recipient, the Lucas Fellowship is the highest award made to students enrolled in the BBA program. The Dean of the School of Business and Public Management will review the Lucas Fellow’s academic record at the end of the junior year. If it meets the above criteria the award will continue into the senior year. The Fellowship will not support over 120 credit hours unless recommended by the Dean.
