Ben Turnipseed Family Endowed Scholarship

The endowment was established by Mr. Ben Turnipseed and his family to create opportunities for full-time students in the College of Coastal Georgia Pre-engineering program to obtain an Associate Degree which will enable them to transfer into an engineering degree program offered through other college or universities. Mr. Ben Turnipseed has made meritorious engineering and managerial contributions during his career. He is the Chairman of Turnipseed Engineers, which provides a full range of engineering services to municipal, county, and industrial clients in the areas of water, wastewater and drainage, and other civil engineering services. He also holds a degree from Georgia Tech, and also serves as the Chairman of the Brunswick-Glynn County Joint Water and Sewer Commission. One scholarships will be awarded to qualified applicants annually. Equal distributions will be made during the fall and spring semesters. Total award amount may vary. Full-time Student (enrolled in 12 hours or more)

Minimum 3.0 GPA

Preference to employees or dependents of employees of the Brunswick-Glynn County Joint Water & Sewer Commission

Preference to students enrolled in the Pre-Engineering program or Science related program

Demonstrates verifiable financial need
