Thomas Davis Memorial Scholarship

Thomas Davis Memorial Scholarship in Criminal Justice has been established by the family of Mr. Davis. Thomas (Tom) S. Davis was born in Tampa, FL, and a graduate of H.B. Plant High School. He later earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of South Florida. Tom was a dedicated public servant spending 39 years in law enforcement. He started his career as a Pinellas County Deputy Sheriff in Tampa, FL. After eight years he transitioned to federal service as Special Agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). During his 25 years as a Special Agent, Tom served as a criminal investigator, a fixed and rotary wing pilot and firearms instructor. He closed out his illustrious law enforcement career as an instructor for the Department of Defense (DOD) and Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). Tom was an avid waterman; he loved kayaking, fishing, spending time on his boat and building fishing rods. He also loved grilling, traveling, woodworking, competitive shooting, going to church and simply being with his family and friends. This scholarship has been designated to support Coastal Georgia students seeking a degree in Criminal Justice. Criteria
