Albert Schweitzer Essay Award

The Albert Schweitzer Essay Competition was created to raise awareness among College of Coastal Georgia Nursing Students of the remarkable life and work of Dr. Albert Schweitzer. This essay competition was created and funded by Mr. Bill Gussman, a retired Coca-Cola executive, resident of St. Simons Island, and member of the CCGA Foundation Board of Trustees. Mr. Gussman’s father, Lawrence (1915-2004) served as past president of the Albert Schweitzer Foundation.
