Berman Family Endowed Scholarship in American Studies

The Berman Family Partnership in American Studies was established with the College of Coastal Georgia and the Thomas Jefferson Foundation for students to be able to participate in an in-depth study of antebellum America which is the timespan between the end of the War of 1812 (1815) and the beginning of the Civil War (1861). Topics could include land management, architectural details, and human resources in plantation economics (including slavery) and their respective impacts upon the evolution of the industrial revolution. This is not about the South only, and is open to any topic that falls in the respective timeframe in American History.
